Borsadelcredito.it has just launched its own network of agents, a captive network that is part of its group. It will serve “to increase the ability to penetrate our companies throughout the Italian territory”. The COO of the company Antonio Lafiosca points out that “this is the first experiment in Italy and beyond of its own captive network, a great step forward that will help us in the growth that awaits us in the coming years”.
Borsadelcredito.it is the first marketplace in Italy authorized and active in the business world. It provides funding to all types of SMEs, especially micro and small businesses. At the same time it offers an asset class of investments for all types of lenders, both legal entities and institutional investors.
The last year for Borsadelcredito.it has been very intense and positive according to Lafiosca, and not just for the launch of the network of agents. The COO reports that “We have renewed our website and launched the first direct lending fund aimed at traditional investors, Colombo, which works through a lending marketplace. We have launched many other products and a line of financing for companies in a specific production chain”.
In the last 12 months BorsadelCredito.it has also become part of the Fintech District, considering it “an Italian international point of reference representing the fintech in Italy, a pivot for networking, regulations and lobbies”.
In Italy, according to Lafiosca “fintech has started late and we must recover the gap compared to other countries, even compared to our European neighbors. It is also necessary a governmental support that can be of various types but with a focus on regulatory, legislative and fiscal aspects. This would help the Fintechs to get closer to consumers and to all families. To improve the situation it is important for us to be able to leverage on a reality like the Fintech District.
While observing the international context, Lafiosca explains that only in the next few years they will consider expansions in other countries within the European market. “Today, Italy is one of the main European countries for SMEs so we remain very focused on our country”.
Next autumn BorsadelCredito.it will be present at all fintech events in Italy and Europe and the third consecutive year will be sponsor of Lendit Fintech Europe, the main alternative finance event to be held in London. “We will represent Italy and we will make ourselves known by international investors, we will be present as a marketplace in this very important event that only for some years now has Italian companies present”.
