Fintech District has chosen to become ecosystem partner of the third edition of Magic Wand, an acceleration program launched by Digital Magics that aims to select, support and invest in the most promising Italian startups in the sectors of Fintech and Insurtech, Blockchain and Cybersecurity.
The initiative is aimed at early-stage startups that are developing innovative businesses and, thanks to this program, will have the opportunity to benefit from the participation of important mentors and advisors from the financial and corporate world, granting money useful for the development of the project. The finalists will also have the opportunity to access investments from Digital Magics.

In the first selection, 10 projects will be chosen to start in January 2020 to follow the path of acceleration within the Milan office of the incubator Digital Magics. During this time they will be followed by a team of experts and mentors of reference belonging to Digital Magics. After the first two months, there will be a second selection for electing the 6 best startups that will have access to the second phase of the acceleration program, lasting 3 months, and to an investment of up to 150,000 euros.
At the end of the program, the 6 finalist startups will be the protagonists of an exclusive event in which the most important Italian and international investors will participate and thus have the opportunity to be part of the incubator Digital Magics.
Fintech District will support Digital Magics in its initiative to foster system alliances with the most important players in the market, active in the areas of Fintech, Insurtech, Blockchain, Cyber Security. The 8 partners of the acceleration programme are BNL Gruppo BNP Paribas, Credem, Innogest, Online SIM Gruppo Ersel, Poste Italiane, SisalPay, Società Reale Mutua di Assicurazioni, TIM. The support provided to Digital Magics on the occasion of Magic Wand is part of a broader agreement between Fintech District and this specific business incubator that provides for numerous joint initiatives and is aimed at fostering the growth of the Italian fintech ecosystem. In particular, this new alliance will allow corporate members of the community to participate in initiatives and events, increasing the network of subjects with whom to explore the possibility of new winning synergies.
