If Fintech Innovation is at the heart of two-days of training and information, the Fintech District could only be the Ecosystem partner of the event, attending in person together with its community. It’s exactly like that. This is the “Fintech Innovation by Maker Faire Rome”, on 2 and 3 May in Rome, the free event focused on innovation, technology and finance that anticipates the appointment with the fifth edition of “Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition 4.0″, from 12 to 14 October 2018.
More than a dozen of Fintech District’s community members will attend conferences, talks, panels, pitches and workshop, others could be added to further enrich a program already dense and designed for an audience of companies, professionals, startups, operators in the sector and public administrations. Furthermore, participation in all events on the agenda is free upon registration at this link.
The Fintech Innovation, like it or not, involves companies of all sizes and not just of the strictly financial sector, so CFO and their collaborators, professionals, banks and other financial operators need to keep up. This initiative provides them with a useful map and basic knowledge of the main innovative tools that can already be used.
Starting from an analysis of the role of FinTech in the development of the country, we look to its future and on the first day we will talk about Fintech for the financing of SMEs in Europe and in Italy, new payment and collection solutions, tools to finance projects of micro-enterprises, SMEs and startups (P2P Business Lending, Equity Crowdfunding e Crowdfunding), invoice trading and digital supply-chain finance, applications of blockchain and DLT technologies for SMEs and corporate. In the “Training Space”, 5 one-hour interventions are planned to provide basic concepts useful for exhibitors, micro-enterprises, SMEs, corporates and professionals to orient themselves and choose FinTech solutions.
On May 3, we’ll talk about ICO, use of artificial intelligence and robo-advisors in Fintech, cybersecurity and Digital Identity, bank innovation, open banking and the new frontiers of Insurtech. In the “Future Space”, on the same day, startups, companies, banks, institutions and public administration, selected through the call for speaker, will explain their services or their own projects in 5 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A.
“Fintech Innovation” by Maker Faire Rome goes beyond the current emphasis on the Fintech topic, discussing the concrete opportunities that digital innovation in the financial sector offer to improve business processes and services.
